As an Appointed Windstorm Engineer for the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI), we can inspect your improvements within the Texas coastal catastrophe zone to determine compliance. You’ll need this inspection to apply for a WPI-8 which is likely mandated by your insurance carrier. Since this is a rigorous inspection process, and requires FULL compliance with the applicable building codes, be sure to contact us or TDI before starting significant repairs (or roof replacement). You don’t want to find out the nails you used are wrong AFTER the roof is installed (this happens more often than you think).
